Mia, rebuilt#
- A new AI engine. Mia runs on an entirely new assistant engine with a redesigned conversation loop, streaming, and tool system. Replies start faster, reasoning is kept separate from the answer, and long conversations stay coherent instead of drifting
- Agent mode. Ask Mia to do something rather than describe it. She can open and organize tabs, read and search the current page, fill forms, capture screenshots, search the web, work with your files, and run multi-step tasks to completion
- You approve every action. A permission center shows exactly what Mia is about to do before she does it, with per-tool approvals you can review or revoke at any time
- Run Mia entirely on your Mac. On-device models run locally through Apple silicon, so page content and conversations never leave your machine. Cloud models remain available when you want them
- Bring your own models. Connect Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, and Ollama, and switch between them mid-conversation
- Memory and personalization. Mia can remember details you choose to save, and adapts her tone to a personality you pick
- Full-bleed conversations. The chat sidebar was redrawn for narrow widths. Bubbles and avatars are gone, so text starts at the edge and reading room is no longer spent on decoration
- Chat history. Past conversations are titled automatically, grouped by date, and searchable
- Attachments. Drop in images, documents, and page contents, and reference open tabs directly in the composer
A smoother sidebar#
- Move anything anywhere. Drag tabs freely between positions, into and out of splits, and across spaces
- Steadier and quicker. Reordering, splitting, and closing tabs feel smoother, with no flicker or jumps in long lists
