The Ortix browser is offered on a licensed basis. When you purchase, receive, or start a trial of Ortix, we issue one or more license keys that permit you to activate Ortix on a limited number of devices, as described at the time of purchase or trial. You agree not to share license keys publicly or circumvent any technical measures that enforce license limits.
To activate and validate a license, the Ortix app connects to our licensing service and sends limited technical information, such as your license key, email address, device identifier, device name, platform (for example, macOS), and app version. Our systems may also record IP address and basic user agent information in server logs in order to prevent abuse, detect fraud, operate trials fairly, and maintain the security and reliability of the licensing service.
We may provide time-limited trial licenses for Ortix. Trial availability, duration, and eligibility (for example, one trial per user or device) are determined by us and may change over time. We reserve the right to refuse, limit, or terminate a trial or license where we reasonably believe there is misuse, fraud, or a violation of these Terms.
Ortix may periodically check for updates and new versions by contacting our servers and sending minimal technical information (such as current version, build number, platform, and operating system version). These checks are used solely to determine whether an update is available and to provide compatible releases. Your use of Ortix is also subject to any additional license terms presented in the Ortix installer, purchase flow, or in-app screens; if there is a direct conflict, those specific Ortix terms will govern your use of the Ortix browser.
