Privacy Policy

SYSTEMBIONIC, LLCLast updated on February 1, 2026

Your privacy is a fundamental priority at SYSTEMBIONIC. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our website, the Xified app, the Ortix Browser, and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information: When you create an account, request beta access, or contact us, we may collect personal information such as your name and email address.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with our Services, including the features you use and the time spent on our website or applications.

Device Information: We may collect information about your device, including device type, operating system, and browser type.

Custom Analytics: Our custom analytics implementation is designed to minimize personal data. It helps us understand overall traffic (for example, number of visits, pages viewed, approximate country-level location, and general device/browser categories) without storing raw IP addresses or building individual behavioral profiles.

4B. Ortix Subscriptions and Device-Based Authentication

Ortix browser uses device-based authentication for subscription management through Polar.sh, a third-party payment and subscription platform. There are no license keys or manual activation codes. Your subscription is automatically linked to your device through a secure hardware-based identifier.

Device Identifier Generation: When you first launch Ortix, the app generates a unique device identifier using your Mac's hardware UUID and serial number. This identifier is created locally on your device using cryptographic hashing (SHA-256) and is stored securely in your device's keychain. The device identifier cannot be reversed to reveal your hardware information and is used solely for subscription verification.

Payment Processing via Polar.sh: All payment transactions, billing, and subscription management for Ortix are processed by Polar.sh. When you subscribe to Ortix, your payment information, billing details, and email address are collected and processed by Polar.sh according to their privacy policy. We do not directly collect or store your payment card information, billing address, or other sensitive payment details. For details on how Polar.sh handles your information, please review their privacy policy at polar.sh/legal/privacy.

Subscription Verification: Ortix periodically connects to Polar.sh's Customer State API to verify your subscription status. During this verification, Ortix sends your device identifier, platform information (macOS), and app version to Polar.sh. Polar.sh uses this information to confirm your subscription is active and return subscription details such as subscription status (active, trial, canceled), current period dates, and subscription tier. We cache this information locally in your device's keychain to reduce server requests and enable offline functionality.

Information We Receive from Polar.sh: Polar.sh provides us with minimal information necessary to validate your subscription. This may include your email address (if you provided it during checkout), subscription status, subscription start and end dates, trial status, and device authorization status. We use this information solely to determine whether to grant access to Ortix features. We do not use this information for advertising or analytics.

Software Updates: When Ortix checks for software updates, it sends limited technical information to our servers—such as the current app version, build number, operating system version, and platform. Update checks are separate from subscription verification and do not send your device identifier or subscription information to our servers.

Customer Portal Access: You can manage your Ortix subscription through the customer portal accessible within the app. When you access the portal, Ortix creates an authenticated session with Polar.sh using your device identifier. This grants you secure access to view and manage your subscription, billing information, and authorized devices.

Your Browsing Remains Private: Neither we nor Polar.sh collect or inspect the contents of websites you visit in Ortix. The device identifier and subscription verification system are used solely to validate your subscription status—not to monitor your browsing activity, track websites you visit, or collect personal browsing data.

Your Content Remains Private: Even with a Premium subscription, all your personal data created within Xified (journal entries, habits, financial information, ideas, etc.) remains stored locally on your device with our zero-logging architecture. Your subscription status does not change our commitment to privacy—we never access, analyze, or transmit your personal content to our servers.

For more information about how Apple handles your subscription and payment information, please review Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
