Performance#
- Much lighter while music or video plays: the audio meters and sidebar glow now use a fraction of the CPU they did in 7.1
- Lower memory use: wallpapers no longer keep a second copy in memory, and Mia's natural voice is released when you are not using it
- Faster launch
Sidebar#
- Smoother sidebar, with tabs and pins rebuilt for fluid scrolling and resizing
- Fixed the sidebar stuttering when switching density
Panels#
- Docked panels open and close with a smoother glide, at your display's full refresh rate
Look and feel#
- Switches are clearer: on is a solid accent colour, off is quiet
- Fixed glowing outlines being clipped on their outer edge
Fixed#
- Many smaller fixes and refinements throughout
Requires#
- macOS 26 or later, Apple silicon
